We’re brokenhearted by the continued violence against black churches in the South, and, as a network with many of us based in North Carolina and Tennessee, we feel responsible for speaking out against this violence. We invite you to join in our efforts to respond and to organize!

Holly Roach went to Charleston with a small multi-racial group of faith leaders to deliver over 9,000 prayers collected by Auburn Seminary’s Groundswell movement online platform. She just published her reportback online, and you can read that at Emerging Voices.
Transform’s Robyn Henderson-Espinoza, Steve Knight, and Micky ScottBey Jones were also instrumental in co-organizing the #PropheticGrief pray-in on Twitter that reached 1.3 million people. This effort in chorus with Auburn Senior Fellows Sharon Groves and Jacqui Lewis, as well as the Beatitudes Society’s Lindsay Andreolli-Comstock, was a powerful vehicle for collectivizing our individualized pain, responses, and organizing!
Next week we are headed to the Wild Goose Festival (July 9-12) and will be curating the Justice and Spirituality tracks for the festival programming. Transform is delighted to have a big role in the festival programming this year, and we hope to see a lot of you there! Please come visit our table in the Justice tent!
ALSO UPCOMING:
June 13 -- March for Voting Rights in Winston-Salem, North Carolina
July 16-19 -- NetRoots Nation in Phoenix, Arizona
July 18 -- Counter-Protest Against the KKK in Columbia, South Carolina
