If so, make sure to tell them that MVNU is now offering a B.S. in Communication Sciences and Disorders!
This is a pre-professional degree that prepares students to pursue graduate degrees in speech/language pathology or audiology. Because professionals in these fields are able to interact with those at all stages of life, this program is a great choice for many interested in the health care field. Currently, MVNU is the only faith-based institution in the state of Ohio, and theonly Nazarene university to offer this degree.
According to the U. S. Bureau of Labor Statistics, speech-language pathology is a highly sought-after career field with 26,000 positions being added by 2022. Audiology is expected to grow by 34%, much faster than average, and the Northeast AuD Consortium (NOADC) says that there is a critical shortage of audiologists in the state of Ohio.
