Partnerships for Lasting Transformation

Antony & Marietta Duclos
Missionaries to Haiti
Greetings,
Today is Sunday. Throughout the church service, one could hear the expressions of gratitude towards God for protection from the hurricane.
We would like to take advantage of this opportunity to thank God for keeping us safe and for your prayers. In our district, the wild wind & heavy rain have destroyed everyone's crops. As farmers, many people rely on their farms to survive and it became a huge concern for many in the district. They are very grateful to be alive but at the same time please keep on praying for this situation. Especially at this time as school is about to start across the district.
As far as the children's camp last month, it was a great success. We want to thank God for being with us throughout the process. As a result, more than 45 kids came forward for prayer. Thank you for your prayer and support. Because of you Southern Californians, for the first time, children of this district have experienced camp. These 200 kids will never forget this event for their entire life.
We would like to inform you that the training school for the district will be another blessing. Although we are not done yet with the preparation for the classrooms, due to financial reasons, students, including some pastor's wives from across the district, are getting ready to attend.
As far as sheep and shop programs, the pastors are very happy and they consider these ministries a blessing to the district.
We are in a huge spiritual battle, please keep us in your prayers. There is no doubt that by ourselves we shall be weak but with God's presence, True Shepherd Ministries is already a success in Haiti.
Again, thank you for not only changing lives but for bringing light and hope to the people of Haiti.
Blessings to you all!
Antony & Marietta Duclos
Children's Camp

As Pastor Antony mentioned, last month (August 25th-27th) the North West district in Haiti held its first children's camp at the Bouflette church campus. Hundreds of children from across the north west came to hear the life changing message of Jesus. They lifted their voices in worship, played games and gathered late night around a big bonfire. On the final day they visited a local beach (most for the first time) for swimming and sand. All the children received a full meal every day of the camp, this perhaps doesn't sound much but many of the children in this region don't get fed everyday.
There are so many stories of hearts turned toward God and I look forward to sharing many of them in the future. A big thank you to Grace and Peace church of Oceanside for partnering with True Shepherd to provide transportation, security and food for everyone!

"Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old, they will not turn from it." (Proverbs 22:6)

Adult Training School

The adult training school is almost ready to begin classes. True Shepherd has been able to provide $3,000 to purchase many laptops, sewing machines and furniture (chairs, desks, etc) for the upcoming classes. It is very exciting and many across the district are hoping to attend. Each student will pay $12 per month to help with costs but more funding is needed in the future and we pray the Lord will provide for this incredible opportunity. These classes can be a simple stepping stone to a brighter future, having a skill can give you an edge when it comes to finding work or starting a small business.
We still need help with books and teaching materials, along with an improved electrical system to handle the computers, etc.
Here are the items still needed.
- Computer class materials $200
- Sewing class materials $200
- 4 large batteries for electrical system $560
- Solar panel and installation $100
- Improved security, window installs and welded bars $400
Total $ 1,460
If you would like to help purchase some or all of these items please email me tim@trueshepherd.com or click on the button below.

Ti Kris Update

"The children in Bouflette enjoyed the recent children's camp so much that in several homes in the community, you see kids having their own services. Ti Kris decided to have his service behind our house too and he calls himself the pastor." (Pastor Antony)
Endowment Fund - Leaving a Lasting Legacy
Did you know that True Shepherd is working to build an endowment for long-term sustainability? We believe that it’s important to plan for the long-term future of this partnership. Some generous individuals have helped us begin an endowment that will release funds into ministry for years to come. If God has laid our ministry on your heart, would you pray about helping us build our endowment? A gift of any size can help build our endowment to our initial goal of $10,000. We’re about half way there, and are trusting God to help bring the right people along to create a solid foundation for True Shepherd’s future.
If God has placed this ministry on your heart, please contact us directly, or contact Jon Twitchell, at the Nazarene Foundation, atjtwitchell@nazarenefoundation.org or 207-318-3515.
