Good Morning, Ministry Partner:
Be Encouraged by God's Word:
Then the Spirit said to Philip, "Go over to this chariot and join it." So Philip ran up to it and heard him reading the prophet Isaiah. He asked, "Do you understand what you are reading?" He replied, "How can I, unless someone guides me?" And he invited Philip to get in and sit beside him. Philip began to speak, and starting with this scripture, he proclaimed to him the good news about Jesus. As they were going along the road, they came to some water; and the eunuch said, "Look, here is water! What is to prevent me from being baptized?" He commanded the chariot to stop, and both of them, Philip and the eunuch, went down into the water, and Philip baptized him. When they came up out of the water, the Spirit of the Lord snatched Philip away; the eunuch saw him no more, and went on his way rejoicing.[Acts 8:29-31, 35-39, NRSV]
Wisdom from Fellow Pilgrims:
Trying to do the Lord's work in your own strength is the most confusing, exhausting, and tedious of all work. But when you are filled with the Holy Spirit, then the ministry of Jesus just flows out of you.[Corrie ten Boom]
Pray Together with Us:
Lord God, take pity on me,
During my infancy I ignored you;
During my boyhood I had no interest in you.
During my adolescence I pursued vain pleasures.
But now, Lord Jesus, I crave your mercy.
I want to know you,
I want to understand your truth,
I want to feel your joy.[Richard Rolle]
