Olympic runner Usain Bolt has proven his title, "The Fasted Man in the World." He's on record for running a little more than 27 mph.
The Guinness Book of World Records is a collection of people from around the world trying to prove they’re the best at something–anything from the longest career as a flight attendant to the oldest performing clown to the most T-shirts worn at once; you name it.*
Mark Angermayer proved he grew the largest peach in the world in 2016 with his prize fruit weighing 1.68 pounds and measuring 4.6 inches in diameter. A lot of people go to great lengths to prove something.
We can be assured that God also holds a world record. He is the most holy, most wise, most powerful, most loving, and most just. The proof is simply in the fact that He is. God is God. He doesn’t have to prove anything, but Isaiah 5:8-19 reveals that He will be exalted by His justice, and He will be proved holy by His righteous acts.
What should we strive to prove? Let’s commit to prove our love for Him by living a life of obedience.

Hymn for Today: "Blessed be the Name" by Charles Wesley
1. Oh, for a thousand tongues to sing,
Blessed be the Name of the Lord!
The glories of my God and king!
Blessed be the Name of the Lord!
Refrain: Blessed be the Name, blessed be the Name,
Blessed be the Name of the Lord!
Blessed be the Name, blessed be the Name,
Blessed be the Name of the Lord!
2. Jesus! the Name that charms our fears,
Blessed be the Name of the Lord!
’Tis music in the sinner’s ears,
Blessed be the Name of the Lord!
Refrain: Blessed be the Name, blessed be the Name,
Blessed be the Name of the Lord!
Blessed be the Name, blessed be the Name,
Blessed be the Name of the Lord!
3. He breaks the pow’r of canceled sin,
Blessed be the Name of the Lord!
His blood can make the foulest clean,
Blessed be the Name of the Lord!
Refrain: Blessed be the Name, blessed be the Name,
Blessed be the Name of the Lord!
Blessed be the Name, blessed be the Name,
Blessed be the Name of the Lord!
4. I never shall forget that day,
Blessed be the Name of the Lord!
When Jesus washed my sins away,

Blessed be the Name of the Lord!
Refrain: Blessed be the Name, blessed be the Name,
Blessed be the Name of the Lord!
Blessed be the Name, blessed be the Name,
Blessed be the Name of the Lord!
