Ice Cream “Sundae”
This Sunday October 15thYou're invited to enjoy ice cream with the congregation at Shawnee Hills Senior Living (6335 Maurer Rd)! SCN and Shawnee Hills are hosting this fellowship opportunity so that relationships can be forged and strengthened, and for our church to offer hospitality to residents who do not yet worship us. Come meet these delightful residents and stay to participate in worship with us!
Fellowship beginning @ 4:00 p.m.
Worship service @ 5:00 p.m.
This Sunday during worship we are excited to welcome special guest Scott Stearman. Scott is a professional sculptor who masterfully weaves together art and faith in a unique presentation.
Latino Festival
Saturday, October 21st, 2-6pm
Miguel and our Hispanic Congregation are coordinating a large outdoor festival in the parking lot, celebrating Latino culture. The purpose of this festival is two-fold: to promote to those Spanish-speakers in our community the community of faith here at SCN; and to educate the English-speaking congregation about Latino culture. Activities include food samples from Mexico, Guatemala, Honduras, Puerto Rico & Dominican Republic; folkloric dancing; bounce house & fun for kids. Mark your calendar and plan to join us!

October is Pastor Appreciation Month. We would LOVE to shower our pastors with gifts, small tokens of kindness, & encouraging words. The remaining Sundays in October we will have a table available in the foyer for dropping off cards and gifts for each pastor. If you’re looking for some ideas, we have asked our staff some of their “favorites,” – click here for their responses!
