Celebrate Recovery on Monday, Oct.23rd at 6pm
We want to invite everyone to hear a testimony from Jordanne Fulcher. She works for IHOP (not the pancake place, but International House of Prayer in Kansas City). We understand that her dad is well known at Point Loma. Dave and Kathy Wendling at our church are her grandparents. We are sure that you would be interested in hearing the miracle that God did with Jordanne. She grew up in a Christian home and then turned away from all she knew to live in the world but God never let go of her. She was dismissed from Point Loma while in college, and on the 23rd of November she is actually returning to Point Loma as a guest speaker for the students at Point Loma. Don’t miss this, there is so much more to the story.
Haiti Fundraiser - Haiti Fundraiser – The church is actively preparing for the fundraiser to help the Haiti Mission Team with their plane tickets. Breakfast, Lunch and Dinner will be served all day long on Saturday 10/21. Remember this is fine dining so act accordingly. Tell them the Italian Job sent you for a special unearned discount and a table overlooking the ocean.
Pastor Appreciation Month – Don’t forget your cards and letters this Sunday (or even next) for your pastors to show your appreciation for the long hours they put in for our church body. They are encouraged by your love and support. I would like to recommend that you consider a token card and some kind of encouraging comment to: Pastor Kevin, Pastor Roger, Rick and Sara, Pastor Wally, Pastor Chipo and Pastor Eliel. They never ask for much so let’s give them a whole lot more.
Correction:
I was informed that COO appreciation months were not November and December…I was mistaken. It is just November.
Fall Fest or Harvest Festival – October 31st. Write it down and post it on the refrigerator.
All Church Potluck – Sunday October 29th after second service.
