Just hours after the deadly Las Vegas shooting, VA deployed teams of mental health professionals, counselors, social workers and other crisis and trauma-trained experts into the community to help those in need.
Korean War Veteran, 90, continues proudly serving Veterans
At 90, this Korean War Veteran and anesthesiologist is the most senior practicing physician in the medical center, if not the entire field of anesthesia.
Through hurricanes, VA continues efforts to care for Veterans
Despite the destruction caused by these monster storms, Veterans continued to receive vital health care and other support, thanks to the selfless efforts of thousands of dedicated VA employees who rallied together to provide around-the-clock care for patients

Robert joined the U.S. Air Force to become a fighter pilot. He flew F-84 and F-100 jets for three and a half years in the strategic and tactical air commands, and was a member of the squadron’s precision firepower demonstration team.
