Greetings RezDowntowners,
I hope this message finds you doing well today! I am excited to connect with you and hope you've had a great week, intentionally pausing to acknowledge God at work in your daily life. I can assure you that with each passing day, I have sensed God's presence and progress as I have watched this building go up.
This week, the remainder of the Glu-lams were installed, the floor joists, metal decking and stairwells were installed - and that is just the tip of the iceberg! Every time I pause to pray over our building, I am flooded with thoughts about how this is all happening because each of you took a step of faith in responding to God's call to give generously. By God's grace and your response, I am overwhelmed daily! Thank you for your continued commitment to building Christian community in the heart of downtown Kansas City; I can't wait to see where God leads us.
I will conclude our sermon series on the Ordinary this weekend, preaching a message on God who is in all things and through all things. I'll revisit the familiar stories of Elijah and Jacob and talk about how we might learn to experience God's power in unlikely places, everywhere we go. It will be a fun way to continue our pursuit of the life that really is life. We will hand out a practical tool at the end of each worship service to help you continue to uncover God's power and presence in a daily fashion. We will also share about opportunities to aid in the Puerto Rico relief efforts as well as an update on ways to serve in a disaster relief capacity for areas affected by Hurricane Harvey. For more information about upcoming relief trips, you can also visit our website at cor.org/disasterresponse.
I'm excited to spend another weekend in the pulpit and look forward to seeing you soon!
Happy Friday and God's Peace,
Pastor Scott

Parking @ RezDowntown
As you know, parking downtown can be a challenge! We are fortunate to have ample parking for our congregants and encourage you to use the lots marked for church parking when you attend worship. Lots not marked as church parking are often private lots, and cars can be removed without notice. If you have questions about parking, please do not hesitate to ask a staff member or on-site police officer - we are always happy to assist!
